Veritas Academy began providing services as the first charter school in Indiana on July 1, 2002 on a charter granted by Ball State University. Prior to that date, the school had been operating on a private school model. We currently house students from kindergarten through 8th grade. Our small class sizes (no more than 18 students per class), rigorous academic curriculum, and "family like" atmosphere distinguish us from all other academic options in the Greater South Bend area.

Veritas Academy is available to all K-8 students within the state of Indiana. If interest in enrollment exceeds capacity (as is inevitably the case), we hold a lottery to select our student body. As a charter school, we operate using public funds and are tuition free for all students. We also offer "Before the Bell" and "After the Bell" programs to provide childcare for working families. These services are available for a reasonable charge.

Veritas Academy continues to strive to be a model and leader in meeting the educational needs of South Bend residents. We meet this mission through the dedication of our parents, students, and teachers, and it is with heartfelt thanks that we acknowledge the role everyone has played in our growth and development. As we continue to grow and develop, we encourage each and every one of you to make your voice heard and to be a contributor to our ultimate success.
